Ramban and Gandoh police rescued 44 bovine animals and arrested five persons.
As per police sources, a team from Ramban police station during checking at Shan Palace on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway intercepted two trucks.
During checking, police rescued 38 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested four drivers, who have been identified as Gulam Hyder, son of Mohammad Bashir, a resident of District Rajouri, Manzoor Ahmed and Rameez Ahmed, both residents of Kulgam and Murad Ali of Gole Gujral.
Cases case under relevant Sections have been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of Additional SP Ramban Mushtaq Choudhary and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
Meanwhile, on specific information, a team from Gandoh police station and Changa police post apprehended a man and rescued six bovine animals.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Hussaon, son of Abdul Gani Malik, a resident of Haloor, Gandoh.
A case under FIR Number 75/17 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandoh Inspector Tahir Yousaf Khan and Incharge Changa police post ASI Talib Hussain made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandoh Sunny Gupta, Additional SP Bhaderwah Shaazad Salaria and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
