Earthquake of moderate intensity jolts Bhaderwah Valley

An earthquake of moderate intensity on Saturday morning ?shook Bhaderwah Valley, parts of Doda and Gandoh in Jammu and Kashmir, triggering panic among people.

The quake, measuring 4.3 on the Richter Scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt at 04.20 am, Met officials said.

“As of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to the property,” said SDM Bhadarwah Mohd Anwar Banday.

Panic-stricken people rushed out of their homes in Doda town when the quake, whose epicenter was 12km south – west of Bhaderwah, rattled the picturesque Valley, Doda and Gandoh areas.
